As another year comes to a close, I am reminded of all of the remarkable experiences I had and the people I met.  During 2013, I took the summer off, hosted countless networking lunches, and met many interesting and exciting women.   During the lunches I discovered LinkedIn and networking were the best ways to find a new job, that many women will help and can help if asked, that starting a new business takes perseverance and that the best source of new business funding is family, friends and people you know.  I also found out I am way behind in the social media arena.

As I make my New Year’s Resolutions for 2014, I remember that there is always someone who needs help and there is always someone willing to help, if you can find them.   In 2014, the focus of the Association of Women Professionals will be to bring women together through networking lunches and events.  Our networking lunches will resume in March, 2014, I hope to meet all of you at an event this year.

Happy New Year!
